  Question 1)  How do I contact VoiceMail Number Service?

  Question 2)  Can I pay my bill on-line?

Yes you can, by simply clicking here, or clicking the Billing link on the navigation bar.

  Question 3)  How do I get a copy of my bill?

On the Navigation Bar click the Billing link. Next, fill in your U# and password in the fields on the left side of the page. This will take you to an on-line copy of your bill.

  Question 4)  How do I check my voice messages?

Call your VoiceMail Number and press the # key on your phone as soon as the greeting begins to play. Enter your password followed by the # key, then follow the instructions on the menu. Pressing 1 will play your first current message and pressing 2 will play your saved messages.

  Question 5)  How do I turn on my WhereAmI number?

From the main menu in your voice mail box select 6 to change your options and then 3 to add your WhereAmI number. Next, type in the ten digit phone number you would like your voice mail box to call when you have a message. You must also login and and enable "Pager & WhereAmI Enabled" for paging and the WhereAmI service to work.

  Question 6)  How do I check my voice mail that is converted to e-mail?

Retrieve your E-Mail at the E-Mail address you designated your messages to be sent. Also please see Question 10

  Question 7)  How do I program my pager number?

From the main menu in your voice mail box select 6 to change your options and then 2 to add your Pager number. Next, enter the ten digit Pager number you would like your voice mail box to call when you have a message. You must also login and and enable "Pager & WhereAmI Enabled" for paging and the WhereAmI service to work.

  Question 9)  I need to add Scripting to my service, what do I do?

Fill out a request form with your specifications, such as the number of boxes you need, the structure you would like and a description of your menu options or preferred menu options. Request Form. Once the U# is set up, you will receive e-mail notification listing their phone numbers and temporary passwords.

  Question 10)  I already have a voice mail box, but want to add the e-mail feature. How do I do that?

Go to the VoiceMailNumber website and Log In using the link on the navigation bar on the home page. Once you've entered your U# and password in the appropriate fields, you will be taken to your U# account information page. Scroll down to "E-Mail Address for Messages" and put in the forwarding E-Mail address.

  Question 11)  How do I select a phone number?

When you sign up for your VoiceMail Number you will see two possible selections at the bottom of the form. You may either choose an Area Code and then a number within that Area Code or select a specific geographical area, or Rate Center, by name and then a phone number from that Rate Center.

  Question 12)  What is a Rate Center?

A Rate Center is a geographical area in which all phone calls are considered a local call.

  Question 13)  How do I change my WhereAmI number?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu, choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu, option 3 to change your WhereAmI number. Next follow the directions to change your ten digit phone number.

  Question 14)  How do I turn off my WhereAmI number?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu, option 3 to change your WhereAmI number. Next follow the directions to delete your WhereAmI number.

  Question 15)  How do I change my Pager number?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu, option 2 to change your Pager number. Next follow the directions to change your ten digit number.

  Question 16)  How do I turn off my Pager number?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu, option 2 to change your Pager number. Next follow the directions to delete your Pager number.

  Question 17)  How do I program my Call Transfer number?

You must first Log In and turn on "Local outbound dialing is allowed" and/or "Long distance outbound dialing is allowed". This will enable you to turn on/off your LIVE transfer number. You may also change your live call transfer number in the same Log In location or you can call your U# and hit the # key then enter your password. From the Main Menu choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu and then option 1 to change your Transfer number. Next follow the directions to program the ten digit number where you want your phone calls to be transfered. You may also Log In and set your transfer days and times, so that your calls are live transfered only dring those periods.

  Question 19)  What is Scripting?

Scripting is a simpler version of IVR capabilities. An example would be: You have reached the offices of VoiceMail Number, please press 1 for information on voice mail, press 2 for information on fax services, press 3 to speak with a service representative, ...

  Question 20)  I want to add IVR to my service, what do I do?

Fill out a request form with your specifications, such as the number of boxes you need, the structure you would like, and a description of your menu options Request Form. Once the boxes are set up you will receive e-mail notification listing their phone numbers and temporary passwords.

  Question 21)  How do Memos work?

Memos work in one of two ways. First, when you want to forward a message to another U#, you can record a Memo that attaches to the front of the message and plays. Second, you can use Memos to send the same message to a pre-determined distribution list of voice mail boxes within your company.

  Question 22)  How do I create a Memo and deliver it?

After you have listened to your message, press the # key to send the message. You will be prompted to record your Memo, followed by the # key to finish, and instructions will explain how to send it.

  Question 23)  How do I record a greeting or record multiple greetings?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 4 to record your greeting and then option 5 to play your greeting.
If you have multiple greetings to record. From the Main Menu press 6 then 6 then the greeting number you want to work with then #. Now do the 4 and 5 to record and play. Once you are satisfied with the greeting sounds like you can press 6 then 6 then greeting number then # and do the next greeting.

  Question 24)  How do I change my Greeting?

Call your U# and press the # key then enter your password then press the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 4 to record your greeting or option 5 to play your greeting.

  Question 25)  How do I create a Distribution List for my Memos?

A Distribution list must be programmed by our VoiceMailNumber staff. Please click here and fill out a Request FormRequest Form.

  Question 26)  How do I Delete a message?

After you have listened to your message, the Menu will play. Pressing '3' twice will delete only the message that was just played.

  Question 27)  How do I Save a message?

Once a message has been heard you may save it by choosing option 2 from the Message Menu. It will remain in the system until automatically deleted (if there is a Time Retention limit on the U# you have), or it will remain until you remove it.

  Question 28)  How do I change my E-Mail address in your system?

From the VoiceMailNumber Home Page, click the Log In link. Once you have logged in using your password, a screen will appear that has information particular to your account. All of these items can be changed at any time and are automatically updated. Change your E-Mail address in the appropriate field and click the Update Information button at the bottom of the page.

  Question 29)  Can I have more than one greeting?

Yes! You must first Log In and select "Multiple Greetings" then you may have up to 999 different greetings which may be recorded and selected by choosing option 6 from the Main Menu, then option 6 from the Change Options Menu. Next, enter the number of the greeting you wish to select, then #.

  Question 30)  I have several greetings. How do I change between them?

Call your U# and hit the # key when the message plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. Choosing option 6 from the Main Menu and then option 6 from the Change Options Menu will get you to the Greeting Change options. Next, enter the number of the greeting you wish to select.

  Question 31)  How does the 'Toggle On and Off' function work?

The Toggle function allows you to turn off your voice mail notification and then turn it back on when you are ready to be notified of messages. Call your U# and press the # key when your greeting comes on, then enter your password followed by the # key. Next, select option 6 to go to the Change Options Menu, then option 6 to get to the Select Menu. Option 0 will change the Toggle switch from on to off or from off to on.

  Question 32)  Who is Acme Voice Mail?

Acme Voice Mail is the original incarnation of this voice mail service. VoiceMail Number is an expanded and upgraded version of the same voice mail, fax and e-mail service

  Question 33)  How do I access my E-Mail account?

Select the E-Mail Services button on the navigation bar. Once you are at the e-mail main page, your User ID is your phone number followed by @voicemailnumber.com. Your Password is the same as your U#.

  Question 34)  How do I add my U# E-Mail address?

First click the Log In option on the navigation bar. Once you've entered your U# and password you will see a list of all your account options. Select the VoiceMailNumber E-Mail Service feature. This will add $1.99 per month to your bill. To access your new account, click the E-Mail Service button on the navigation bar.

  Question 35)  I want to add a new feature. When will I be billed for it?

You are billed one month in advance for the monthly service fee and one month in the past for usage fees. This means once you add a monthly feature it will appear on your next bill. Features that are billed as usage will begin accruing the day the feature is activated.

  Question 36)  How do I change my Password?

Your password can be changed either using the phone and calling your VoiceMailNumber or on the website by Loging In.
Call your U# and hit the # key when the greeting plays. Enter your password, followed by the # key. From the Main Menu choose option 6 for the Change Options Menu, then option 4 to change your password.

  Question 37)  Can you offer a Dial by Name Directory as part of Scripting?

Yes. We can program any number of names into a Dial by Name Directory. This service is only $15.00 per month which includes set up and maintenance. Keep in mind that all names in the directory must have a U# voice mail to transfer to.

  Question 38)  How do I turn off the "Your call is being transfered"?

To turn off the "Your call is being transfered". You must Log In and scroll down to "Don't Say Your call is Being Transfered" and set it to Y.

  Question 39)  How do I resell VoiceMail Number Services?

Send us an E-Mail click here with the following information:
First Name, Last Name
Mailing Address: City, State and Zip
Your Contact Phone Number (can be a U#)
Your Social Security Number.
Once we receive your E-Mail request we will E-Mail you back your Independent Sales Rep ID and Password so you may see real time how your sales are going.
You will be paid a percentage of all collected funds on all VoiceMailNumber Services that you sell minus any sales tax or surcharges. Commissions will be paid on the tenth day of the following month for the previous months collections. We have a special web address for the sales area www.VoiceMailNumber.com/sales which contains an Independent Sales Agreement that you must read and accept. At the end of the year we will send you a 1099 for the Independent Contract Labor that you perform in reselling our VoiceMailNumber Service.

  Question 40)  How do I stop someone from calling my VoiceMail Number?

VoiceMail Number service can block any caller ID from reaching your VoiceMail Number. Click here and in your request state your VoiceMail Number and the ten digit number you want to block.

  Question 41)  How am I notified when a Fax is put in my Email?

First Log In and scroll down to "Fax Notification Number" which is just below "Fax Service" and put in the ten digit number where you wish to be notified at. You must have "Fax Service" turned on to use this feature.
